Corporate Christmas
Are you looking for a family activity that your staff will remember as the best Christmas work party ever? Why not give them a taste of the magical world of the circus?
L’école de cirque de Verdun proposes initiation workshops where young and old can enjoy exploring their skill and flexibility while trying out acrobatics, juggling, balancing and aerial techniques.
Under the watchful eye of experienced animators in circus techniques, your staff can gain insight into the magic of the circus on a site entirely laid out with specialized equipment: trampoline, trapeze, fabric, tightrope, balancing ball and spool, fast track, tumbling, mats and groundsheets as well as a multitude of juggling and manipulation objects such as scarves, Chinese plates, pins, balls and flower sticks.
Before the start of the activities, an animator explains and demonstrates various circus techniques. A 15-minute group warm-up allows participants to prepare for the activity. Safety is ensured with supervision by a qualified animator.
Initiation Workshops
The circus arts initiation workshops invite participants of all ages to an activity which includes 5 different areas.
- Acrobatics with two areas equipped with mats of various shapes, a mini-trampoline as well as a 15-meter-long “fast track”.
- The trampoline gives the opportunity to explore the various basic jumps on one of our five devices.
- Juggling with scarves, balls, hoops, pins, flower sticks, Chinese plates and diabolos to explore dexterity. An additional challenge awaits those who try the unicycle!!
- Aerial techniques (fixed trapeze, fabric, the slack rope and rings) allow one to defy gravity while trying to execute several trapeze positions. Adolescents and adults can try their luck with fabric, hoops and the slack rope. For younger children (4-5 years), a short obstacle course is included in the workshop.
- Balancing: Balls, spools and the rola-bola, as well as the tightrope and 2 beams of different heights put the participant’s balancing talents to the test!
Make-up Artistry and Cookie-Making Workshop
Besides having the pleasure of trying circus disciplines, children and their parents can, in a space demarcated by magic mirrors, have the opportunity to be made up by an animator. A cookie-making workshop is also available for the duration of the activity. You can rest assured that the cookie ingredients do not pose any allergy risk.
As well as the initiation workshops, participants can attend a circus show where up-and-coming young artists are put front and centre.
