The School
Since its foundation in 1988, l’École de cirque de Verdun has offered children, teens and adults from every milieu the possibility to acquire complete training in circus technique. Accessibility to the indisputable benefits of circus arts in a recreational and non-competitive context therefore represents the hub of our activities.
As a favourable site for development and improvement, the School offers, within a recreational and professional context, basic courses, specialized courses, initiation workshops, summer day camps and shows. Circus techniques developed at the school revolve around: acrobatics, manipulation, aerial techniques, balancing on objects and the trampoline. All activities are conducted in an area that is designed for and adapted to participants of all ages.
L’École de cirque de Verdun promotes gender equality, the development of self-esteem, team spirit, perseverance and camaraderie in both young and old who attend its activities.
The Circus is IMAGINATION!
Anything is possible. Every talent, sense of humour and skill has its place.
Our Mission
The mission of l’École de cirque de Verdun is to introduce circus arts to as many people as possible through training, activities, broadcasting and production of events related to the circus domain.
Through the social and economic spinoff of its activities, it also aspires to benefit its milieu, the community and its individuals. More generally, it aims to introduce to the largest number of people, and mostly young people, the means, the tools and the opportunities to become emancipated and fulfilled within a framework whose shape and colour are the circus.
